Where people spontaneously meet

During my observations in Feldis it was raining heavily all day. In order to warm up a bit, I went into a restaurant, where I came upon a busy regulars table. I listened in on their conversation and simultaneously wrote down what I heard. The men’s conversation was brief and in bursts of short sentences. They shared with each other their thoughts and events of the day. At the same time they slowly drank their beer, “Pflumli” (plum brandy) or coffee in a glass. The waiter seemed to know them well and kept bringing them new drinks. They conversed in Swiss German dialect.
When I asked the men if I could take a picture of their regulars table, they were surprised that I called their spontaneous gathering that. Some didn’t quite want me to take a photo of them. Finally, they turned their faces away so that I was only allowed to photograph them from behind.
