Sound artist, Performer, Woman of her word

A self-taught multidisciplinary artist, musician and performer from DR Congo, Orakle Ngoy works at the crossroads of the performing arts, performance and video. Her artistic activity is nourished by her origins, inspired by the human and especially the feminine universe.

Orakle's work is rooted in the various models of "Language" between performance and discourse, slam, plea and poetry in a declamation style specific to her origins, called Muyenga. In her texts, she sheds light on the realities of life in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She tells them from the particular point of view of women. Her art is her tool for activism, and these words take the place of the evils that consume life.

Ngoy is the founder of the AFRIKA DIVA collective, which works to promote female talent and has organized the YAMBI CITY festival for six years.
