In January 2023, the musician, interdisciplinary artist, educator, and cultural visionary Claire Chase gathered folks together at Carnegie Hall for a weekend-long celebration of Pauline Oliveros

Together with Susie Ibarra (percussion), Alex Peh (piano), Tyshawn Sorey (percussion), Senem Pirler (electronics), Li Harris (vocals), Matana Roberts (saxophone), and Manari Ushigua (forest wisdom defender), Chase gave an hour-long performance of Oliveros's The Witness, followed by a Tuning Meditation with all members of the audience, from the floor to the balcony.

Over the course of the weekend, Chase invited people of all ages to engage in Deep Listening and explore sound in the spirit of Pauline, including a special session for infants, the most creative of us all!
