Sharing the song “Hei Haisi Haya Laosi” and learning to sing together with the children who were displaced due to the ongoing conflict between two communities in Manipur, in North East India

This is part of the listening/sharing/healing workshop sessions going on about two months now where individuals, artists voluntarily coming out and started working to help the victims especially the children heal in our small ways.

Lyrics:

Hei Haisi Haya Laosi

Let us plant fruits and flowers
A sanctuary of life
Let us make
For trees and bamboos too

Hills, swamps and rivers
Pure and clean
With this vision
In Nature, let us stay

For the love of the mother
For the care of the father
For the gift of the ancestors
For fidelity to the land

Let us ignite the torch of perception
A beacon
For the young
Towards the future
May their laughters in the playground shine

Hei! Let us say
Haya ! We shall shout

For the love of the mother
For the care of the father
For the gift of the ancestors
For fidelity to the land
