Julia Männle

Julia Männle is a researcher at the Institute of Development Research (IDR) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, Austria. With a master’s degree in Organic Agricultural Systems and Agroecology, her work focuses on transforming food systems toward sustainability and equity, with a special emphasis on agroecological practices. Further, she is increasingly interested in exploring how the arts can inform research methodologies and science communication. In 2024, she co-organized the event “Art in Science” at an international conference on tropical agriculture, where synergies between art and science were showcased through exhibitions and a mini-film festival.
